Engage with music of the erhu as erhu virtuoso/composer Wang Guowei demonstrates playing techniques and performs erhu masterworks with digital accompaniment created by the artist. The event takes place at New York Arts Gallery, 78 Bowery in Chinatown, courtesy of "Souls of NYC Chinatown: Passion, Hope, Resilience" Art Exhibition.

Wang Guowei is Artistic Director of the NY-based ensemble Music From China, formerly concertmaster of the Shanghai Traditional Orchestra, Artist in Residence in Chinese Music Performance at Williams College and director of the Williams Chinese Music Ensemble, and co-director and conductor of the Swarthmore Chinese Music Ensemble.
