Everyday Stories: Community Workshop & Recording on “Everyday Chinatown"

  • Think! Chinatown's Studio 1 Pike Street New York, NY, 10002 United States (map)

Join T!C’s Storytelling Lead, Rochelle, for an interactive afternoon of stories to explore Chinatown’s collective memory of everyday objects. We’ll hear some of our neighbors’ memories for T!C’s Everyday Chinatown project – then get ready to share some of your own stories, as we reveal our next season’s everyday object with a storytelling workshop and recording session.

The Everyday Chinatown project is produced by Think!Chinatown to record stories about objects found in the everyday lives of our community. From bagua - octagonal fengshui mirror, baihuayou - white flower oil, to our next season’s everyday object, we invite you and Chinatown community members to record the memories that have cemented these ordinary objects into our everyday lives. Through these recorded stories, participants may contribute to the next chapter of T!C’s Everyday Chinatown project.
