MOONSquare Open Call 2026

For this year’s Chinatown Arts Festival, Think!Chinatown invites artists to transform a mooncake tin into a work of art. Paint it, collage it, build inside it — the only rule is that your piece must use an actual mooncake box. Take a look at previous years’ MOONSquares.

Submissions open: September 2, 2026

Submission deadline: October 5, 2026

Artists selected: October 7, 2026

Exhibition dates: October–December 2026 at Think!Chinatown Studio (1 Pike St) and online. Exhibition opens October 25.

Eligibility: For NYC-based artists only. Please do not mail artwork.

Drop-off dates: dates TBD, will notify selected artists.
