The LMI Storefront Loan is an interest-free five-year loan up to $100,000 to help businesses located in low-to-moderate income (LMI) areas of New York City (<<click here>> to see if you operate in one of the eligible zip codes). In Chinatown, 10002 zipcode is considered LMI but unfortunately at this time 10013 zipcode is not eligible for the LMI phase of this program. Your business needs to have been in operation since January 1, 2018, or before. All owners of 20% or more of the business must co-sign on the loan. You can find the <<<official guide here>>>.

Citizens Committee (CC) launched the Neighborhood Business Grants to offer NYC small businesses grants ranging from $5,000 to $10,000. The grant will prioritize businesses owned by people of color, immigrants, and women. It will also prioritize proposals that focus on adapting businesses to the challenges of COVID-19. Now accepting applications on a rolling basis.

Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF) Fund grant program aims to help U.S. small businesses by providing better access to affordable capital in the form of non-repayable grants of up to $20,000. Qualified businesses have been operational for at least one year and generate up to $3 million in gross revenue. New Application for NYS Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) - If your employees don't qualify for UI (part-time, independent contractor), direct them to apply for PUA here: a benefit based on their pay, plus 600/week until end of July. Starting April 20, there is NO need to first apply for UI and get rejected in order to apply for PUA, since April 20. This website will help your employees determine whether your employees will get UI or PUA, so there's no need to call Department of Labor.
