Our Stories, Our Landmarks

Lion Dancer by Warren King

Landmarks project is an ongoing audio exploration of memory and place, produced by T!C’s Storytelling Team Lead, Rochelle Hoi-Yiu Kwan. We visit and remember our community members’ own personal landmarks in Chinatown. This year, in partnership with artist Warren King and his beautiful cardboard sculptures, we memorialize and step into the lost arts and cultural spaces of our neighborhood.

Find Warren‘s cardboard sculptures alongside audio snippets at:

  • 88 East Broadway

  • 1 Pike Street

  • 69 Mulberry Street

Installations are on view 24/7 through the windows at these locations.

It’s such a privilege to help celebrate some of Chinatown’s beloved cultural spaces with the “Our Stories Our Landmarks” project. It’s the realization of a long-held dream of mine to collaborate with Think!Chinatown, who have fostered and inspired so much of my connection to this vibrant neighborhood.
