Join T!C’s Storytelling Lead, Rochelle Hoi-Yiu Kwan, for an interactive afternoon of stories about our personal landmarks here in Chinatown. We’ll hear some of our neighbors’ favorite memories for T!C’s Landmarks project – then get ready to revisit some of your personal Chinatown landmarks with a storytelling workshop.
In this storytelling workshop, Rochelle will get us thinking about the stories all around us, and how we can start to document these special memories of our neighborhood. Participants are also welcome to bring their own memory items (photos, flyers, voice memos, music) to share during our storytelling workshop.
Landmarks is an ongoing audio exploration of memory and place, produced by T!C’s Rochelle Hoi-Yiu Kwan, to visit and remember our own personal landmarks in Chinatown.
Free with RSVP — suggested donation of $5-15 is appreciated. All ages welcome!
*Please note: This listening session and workshop will be conducted in English.
All ticket proceeds will directly go back to our artists and T!C team who make these community events possible.
If you are unable to contribute financially, please don’t hesitate to reach out – we would still love to have you there! Ask us about options to volunteer with us.
Think!Chinatown is committed to hosting accessible events for our Chinatown neighbors. As we continue to present free, public events throughout the neighborhood, we invite you to support us with your contribution to grow our new home and community art space at 1 Pike.
