Winter Solstice Wellness with Kamwo Meridian

In preparation for the year’s longest night in the winter, journey inward with Traditional Chinese Medicine. Experience the art of winter nourishment through black foods, herbal teas, and gentle rituals that strengthen the Kidneys, awaken inner warmth, and prepare your body for spring’s renewal — cultivating balance, resilience, and radiant vitality. Join us in collaboration with Kamwo Meridian Herbs for an evening of ear seeding, self-acupressure exercises, and seasonal herbal recipes designed to nourish and strengthen our body’s immunity, and align with the season’s call for balance and renewal.

The evening will begin with a soothing herbal tea. Kamwo will provide ear seeding for all participants. (Ear seeding is a gentle wellness practice where small seeds are placed on points of the ear to support breathing, immunity, and relaxation.) Acupuncturist and herbalist, Olivia Choi will lead us through self-acupressure exercises. We’ll serve and demonstrate how to make two soups (including a vegan option) for supporting vitality to nourish ourselves during the winter.

This program is part of Think!Chinatown’s ongoing partnership with Kamwo Meridian Herbs, a neighborhood institution preserving traditional Chinese medicine and wellness practices.
